Chocolate banana peanut butter cake 2 layers, for a birthday. - I made a cake similar to this a couple years prior for my friend's birthday and she kept asking me to make it again for her. Bird Cherry Flour cake for the monthly international dinner I do with my friends. This is a traditional cake made in Russia, it is made of Bird Cherry Flour which is technically gluten free, it took me a while to track down some of this flour. But boy this cake was so unique and tasty. It had a grittier texture than traditional cakes, also had a nice nutty flavor and wonderful color - all from the flour. No chocolate in this! I really want to make one of these again.

Matcha Olive oil cake. The instructions for this were "matcha and not sweet", we ate this after doing a birthday celebration of running up and down some local stairs for a while. It was a hit, no bits left!

Tangerine Chiffon cake with Sage buttercream and candied tangerines. - I made this as a thank you to my friends as they listened to me practice presenting my pre-dissertation defense!

Lemon Chiffon with a Lavendar buttercream for a birthday. - This was my first chiffon cake, I biked all around town looking for the right pan - which btw barely fit in the bin on my bike. Once I made this cake I was HOOKED on chiffon cakes, still am :)
